Southwest Flyers Original

Inspired by the wildlife seen during my visits to Arizona's Sky Islands, this vibrant illustration of its inhabitants was also chosen as the winning design for Southwest Wings' annual t-shirt design competition in 2026.

Appreciate the rich variety of colors and textures of every fine detail!

Featured wildlife, from left to right:
An ochre and gray Olive Warbler perches next to a hovering Lucifer Hummingbird showing off his purple throat. In the center a tiny Elf Owl (the smallest owl in the world!) stares with its soulful eyes, while an Arizona Sister butterfly rests next to a perched Red-faced Warbler.
